Union Public House Burger

On our weekend staycation in Tucson we visited Union Public House, famous for its burgers, which are handcrafted and cooked to perfection. Extra juicy patty, home made buns and imported cheese, they live up to the hype

The american breakfast with fennel sausage was out standing. The home made jam for the toast was definitely a highlight in this plate.

Home made potato chips

Looking forward to coming here and try out more items in the menu. This place has a lovely atmosphere, it's super kid friendly and you will definitely have a great dinning experience, check it out!

Brat Haus, Downtown Scottsdale

Came to Brat Haus for happy hour during the week, totally loved it the minute I walked in. Funky decor, a cozy environment and a refreshing selection of international beers were the highlight of my visit

Started off with a delicious cheese pretzel, lightly toasted on the outside, warm and soft on the inside.

Went for a local german ale, considered the strongest in the ale category, be aware of the 9.5% alcohol, so yeah, no driving foodies.

I went for the sweet brat, added pickled onions and sauerkraut. It was very tasty. Pictured below is the spicy brat, which is not that spicy, it has a nice kick to it.

Healthy Food Options

On my search for lighter option for lunch I came across Bowl of Greens and have been eating there all week long. Yes! It is that good. This colorful and vibrant atmosphere takes healthy to a whole new level. Food that is perfectly seasoned; you will delight your palate with a perfect combination of spices: thyme, pepper, rosemary, garlic, that will make your plate bold and flavorful. Stop by, you won't be disappointed
on my plate is the grilled chicken entree, a delicious combination of curried rice, sweet potato, cauliflower and broccoli.

I have literally eaten there all week, I can't get enough of this amazing combo.

Best Ice cream in Tucson

Happy 4th of July everyone! We are on a staycation in Tucson, AZ and even though we have eaten mostly at our resort, we found time to explore a little bit and found this ice cream gem

after eating dinner at a local mexican restaurant, that I will review later on, we decided to go for ice cream at Sullivan's. Since I was stuffed, decided to share my cookie dough ice cream (what a mistake!)
I could have eaten it by myself and ask for a second one, it was just that delicious
it was the perfect combination of sweet, crunch, creamy, chocolaty and gooey

Best seafood in Phoenix

Last night we had an amazing seafood experience at Mastro's Ocean Club
This place is totally booked during the weekends, so plan ahead and make reservations
Started with a broad selection of artisan bread, we were delighted with the pretzel buns and had to ask for extras
The pomegranate mojito was refreshing, perfect for the 112 degree Arizona weather
For appetizers we decided to go for the grilled shrimp. Perfectly cooked, it was juicy and chewy, the garlic sauce and au gratin breadsticks paired beautifully in this plate
One of the best tasting shrimp I have ever had
For entree I went for the Mahi. Fresh, perfectly grilled, generously portioned, I can't say enough good things about it. Accompanied by a capper sauce that added a perfect salty kick to it and mash potatoes that were smooth and buttery, this plate was a delight for my palate
My husband went for the steak and he was not disappointed. Oven cooked, pink center, flavorful and tender, this 6 ounce beauty hit the sweet spot
Now my favorite part! We ask our server, who by the way was awesome, what  she would recommend for dessert, she told us the butter cake was the house specialty and I'm not going to lie, we were a little weary about it because they have a broad selection of desserts and everything sounded delicious
So after a little Internet research we decided to go for it and oh gosh! We had no regrets. This beauty was just a culinary piece of art, a blend between a cookie and a cake if I can make that comparison. Chewy and buttery on the inside, slightly crispy and sugary on the outside, topped with vanilla bean ices cream and the most amazing whipped cream I have had. Loved every bite of it
